Siri Ported To The Original iPad, Does Not Work Properly Just Yet

After Siri was successfully brought to the iPhone 4, now another talented developer managed to introduce Siri to a larger home, a jailbroken iPad 1.

Unfortunately, just like in the iPhone 4 case, Siri does not feel quite at home on the iPad for now. The voice-guided software launches, but it does not respond back when you talk to it, as it needs to communicate with the Apple's servers to get its lines and that has not been enabled yet.
Still, you can rest assured that hard-working developers are working on it and that usually leads to a happy ending. Or at least for those that have jailbroken iOS devices.

Nokia 5800 And 5530 Get New Features Via Software Update

Well here's some good news if you own one of two older Symbian^1 devices. The Nokia 5800 and 5530 did not and will not get updated to Symbian Anna (or Belle for that matter), so the situation for these phones can look kind of bleak. Ovi Store Reaches 40,000 Apps, 5 Million Downloads A Day

The Ovi Store is growing - it now sees 5 million downloada a day, nearly 8 times more than what it did an year ago. The number of apps has reached 40,000 and that numbers grows by another 1,000 each week.
The Ovi Store's growth is mainly due to the latest Symbian^3 devices and Nokia is already looking forward to Windows Phone 7 based smartphones.

Samsung Apps Scores 100 Million Downloads

The Samsung Apps application store for Bada has just shot past the 100 million downloads mark. It took it about nine months, which means that a Bada app has been downloaded every four seconds.

Of course, those numbers are not quite as impressive as those of the Apple App Store, which got its first 100 million downloads in about four months, but its a good achievement for a platform that is meant to be a replacement for feature phones.
To celebrate this milestone Samsung will be organizing a surprise event sometime this week.
