Verizon HTC Trophy WP7 Device Now Only $99.99 At Newegg
After many months of ignoring Microsoft's newest mobile operating system, Verizon has finally gotten on the Windows Phone 7 bandwagon. The first WP7 device to be available on Big Red is the HTC Trophy, which is also a 'global roaming' device or 'world phone' - basically it has a GSM radio alongside that CDMA radio, and that allows you to take it with you (and properly use it) pretty much anywhere in the world.

The Samsung Droid Charge is Verizon's latest addition to its LTE roster. It retails for $299.99 on a new two year contract or $569.99 with no contract commitment, but you can knock off $50 off the contract price if you choose to buy the Droid Charge through Amazon Wireless.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Play Verizon Pre-Orders Start On 19 May
Verizon Wireless has announced that it will start accepting pre-orders on the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play from thus Thursday the 19th of May and the Xperia Play will go on sale on the 26th of May.

Even though its not setting the world alight in either unit sales or attach rate, Verizon have seen fit to add the only Android phone will console pedigree to their line up. New Android Phones From Samsung, HTC, LG, Sony Ericsson And Motorola Will Get Software Upgrades For 18 Months After Launch
Earlier today, while announcing Android Ice Cream Sandwich, Google has also unveiled details on upcoming software upgrades for Android devices. Together with other major companies, Google has agreed to "adopt guidelines for how quickly devices are updated after a new platform release, and also for how long they will continue to be updated".

Major US Carriers Are Blocking Android Tethering Apps
Android owners in the US would not be happy about this - carriers have started blocking the apps that enable tethering on their phones. Its a service they charge $15-$20 a month after all, you can not expect them to let you have it for free.
