Nokia 5800 And 5530 Get New Features Via Software Update

Well here's some good news if you own one of two older Symbian^1 devices. The Nokia 5800 and 5530 did not and will not get updated to Symbian Anna (or Belle for that matter), so the situation for these phones can look kind of bleak. Yet it is not entirely so, for Nokia has been working on porting some of the aspects of the Anna update to Symbian^1 and they have now finally made it to the 5800 and 5530.

Symbian-Based Nokia E6 And X7 Start Shipping

The E6 and X7 - Nokia's first smartphone to run Symbian Anna, and two of the latest to run any version of Symbian, ever - are now shipping to a store near you. As you have probably already heard by now, the E6 is the only Symbian candybar to have a touchscreen display (2.46 inches, 640 x 480 pixels) and a full QWERTY keyboard.

Many believe that Nokia N9 is long dead with the company joining hands with Microsoft. However, a leaked video advert on Pocketnow suggests otherwise. An official promo clip, shows off the handset. The minute long teaser reportedly confirms the Nokia N9's 12 megapixel autofocus camera with Carl Zeiss lens and dual-LED flash.

Nokia N8 is already available in five completely different colors - orange; blue; green; dark grey; and silve white. It seems the variety was not enough so today Nokia launches a pink N8. Is that Symbian Anna running inside?
