Siri Ported To The Original iPad, Does Not Work Properly Just Yet

After Siri was successfully brought to the iPhone 4, now another talented developer managed to introduce Siri to a larger home, a jailbroken iPad 1.

Unfortunately, just like in the iPhone 4 case, Siri does not feel quite at home on the iPad for now. The voice-guided software launches, but it does not respond back when you talk to it, as it needs to communicate with the Apple's servers to get its lines and that has not been enabled yet.
Still, you can rest assured that hard-working developers are working on it and that usually leads to a happy ending. Or at least for those that have jailbroken iOS devices.

Apple's much awaited next generation iPhone, iPhone 5, may launch in the second half of August, reports CNET.UK. According to CNET, new job postings for a number of iPhone sales staff in the UK suggest a mid-August launch for Apple's next generation iPhone.

High Resolution Images Found Within iOS 5 SDK, Hints At An iPad With Retina Display

Here we go again. Someone has discovered some high resolution images within the Twitter framework portion of the iOS 5 SDK and not just any high resolution images but those with 2048 x 1536 resolution, four times the current resolution of the current iPad.

The ongoing Apple-Samsung rivalry over the alleged copying of iPhone and iPad designs and user interface has become fiercer. In response to Samsung's demand to see the next-generation iPhone and iPad models. the iconic iPhone maker has hit back at Samsung calling its demand an "attempt to harass".

Dell To Launch Streak 10 Pro Tablet

Dell Inc has chosen to launch its new 10-inch Android tablet in China this summer, passing up on a US, Europe launch, as China emerges as a front line battle for tablets. The tablet named "Streak 10 Pro" will target Chinese "prosumers", a term used to describe advanced-level consumers, Amit Midha, Dell's President of Greater China and South Asia, said on a corporate blog.

Apple Sues Samsung For Copying iPhone and iPad Designs

It seems like everyday we hear about a new lawsuit being filed against one of the big mobile companies, and we got yet another one. All things D has news that Apple has filed suit against Samsung for patent and trademark infringement or more particularly, the Galaxy S smartphones copying the iPhone - both the design and the TouchWiz UI. Samsung is preparing to strike back with lawsuit of their own too.
