Symbian-Based Nokia E6 And X7 Start Shipping

The E6 and X7 - Nokia's first smartphone to run Symbian Anna, and two of the latest to run any version of Symbian, ever - are now shipping to a store near you. As you have probably already heard by now, the E6 is the only Symbian candybar to have a touchscreen display (2.46 inches, 640 x 480 pixels) and a full QWERTY keyboard.

When announced a month ago, the Nokia duo E6 and X7 caused a good deal of excitement. Packing the latest Symbian update, called Anna, the two smartphones proved that the OS is not yet ready to head into oblivion.

Mobile Review's one-man Nokia rumor mill Eldar Murtazin has pushed out some details regarding the first fruits from the 'Microkia' (Microsoft/Nokia) team up, in the form of two new devices bearing the names W7 and W8. Not only are they exactly the most original names but the devices in question will apparently resemble the Nokia X7 and the N8 respectively.
