Sony Ericsson XPERIA Play To Go On Sale At O2 UK

O2 is currently the only major UK carrier that does not sell the Sony Ericsson XPERIA Play. That's because the company found some bugs in the handset's software just before the initially-planned release (which was scheduled for 1 April), and decided to postpone the launch.

Now, O2 is happily reporting that Sony Ericsson sent new software, and the smartphone is "nearly ready to go on sale". There is not an exact launch date yet, but it's quite possible that we will see the XPERIA Play on O2's shelves before the end of April.
Interestingly, the new XPERIA (the world's first PlayStation-certified phone) is already out of stock at Vodafone, which says it will ship new units in about 3 to 4 weeks.
O2 will offer the Sony Ericsson XPERIA Play in both black, and white - the white version being exclusive to the carrier for the UK market.
