Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc Officially Announced For The US Market

We though the Xperia Arc was already available in the US, but it looks like we were wrong. If you visit Sony's online store, you can see that the smartphone is backordered, so you can not have it right away. Luckily, Sony Ericsson has just issued a press release to take the confusion away. According to the company, the Xperia Arc will be officially available in the US starting August - this is reflected by the Sony Store webpage, too.

US customers will be able to find the Xperia Arc not only at Sony, but also at Amazon, Newegg, and Buy.com. The handset costs $599.99 (unlocked, of course).
Announced way back in January, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc is one of the thinnest smartphones on the market (8.7mm). It comes with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, a 4.2 inch FWVGA (854 x 480) scratch-resistant Reality Display, HSDPA, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, DLNA, HDMI, 8MP autofocus camera with 720p video recording, and a 1GHz single core processor.
