Sony Ericsson has announced to new Android smartphones at CommunicAsia 2011, the Xperia Active and the Xperia Ray, and both models will come with Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
First up is the Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray, which features a 3.3 inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 854 x 4780 pixels, it also comes with an 8 megapixel camera.
Next up is the Sony Ericsson Xperia Active which comes with a 3 inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels and it is designed for the outdoors types as it is water resistant up to 1m and dust proof.
Both models will go on sale in selected markets at the end of quarter three, we presume Sony Ericsson means Japan, and there are no details if these models will be available in the US and Europe.
