As well as announcing the new Xperia Mini range of smartphones, Sony Ericsson also announced a new Android smartphone for Japan, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Acro.
The Sony Ericsson Xperia Acro features a 4.2 inch multitouch display, there is also a 1GHz processor and an Adreno 205 GPU, plus Mobile TV with live TV viewing.
The Xperia Acro also features an 8.1 megapixel camera which is capable of recording High Definition video and it will come with Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
The Sony Ericsson Xperia Acro will be available in Japan this summer, there are no details on when it will be available in the Europe and USA.
