Already available in lots of countries around the world, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc could be released in the USA, too -- thus joining the Xperia Play -- another new Android 2.3 smartphone from SE, which should be launched by Verizon this spring.
Unlike the XPERIA Play, the Arc would not be available this spring. Asked about an American edition of the Arc, Rikard Skogberg said:
"The current plan is to have an "a-variant available at retailers this summer. This version will be optimized for use in the US (GSM/UMTS)".
As you can see, for the moment there is no word on a possible release of the Arc via any US carrier. In Canada, Rogers is going to launch both the Arc and the Xperia Play next week, on 28 April.
