Samsung is getting ready to launch a dual-SIM version of the Samsung Star II that it first unveiled back in January. The Samsung Star II Duos C6712 is set to become available in Russia sometime in May. Unlike the Star II, the Duos (that's Samsung's brand for dual-SIM phones) version will have a 3.2-inch WQVGA capacitive touchscreen (as opposed to a smaller 3-inch display in the Star II) and a 1200 mAh battery (not a 1000 mAh one).
The Duos obviously has two SIM card slots as well. Other than that, the phones are pretty similar. The Samsung Star II Duos C6712 is not a smartphone, it runs Samsung's featurephone TouchWiz 3.0 UI, and it comes with Social Hub, QuickType T9 trace keyboard input, Wi-Fi 802. 11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, and a 3.2 megapixel camera.
In Russia, the Samsung Star II Duos C6712 will cost 6,990 rubles (that's approximately $250 or EUR 173), it will probably make its way to other countries and territories during the summer, especially in the so-called 'emerging markets' where dual-SIM phones are very popular.
