Currently available only in the UK and France (as far as we know anyway), the HTC Sensation is making its way to South Korea, too, where SK Telecom, the country's largest mobile carrier, should launch it next week, on 25 May.
SK Telecom will sell the Sensation or 847,000 KRW - about $783. The Sensation runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread, has lots of high-end features (including a qHD display, dual-core 1.2GHz processor, and 1080p video recording) and will complete directly with the Samsung Galaxy S II on the Korea market (and, in fact, in any other market where both handsets will be available).
According to The Korea Herald, HTC hopes to create a "premium brand" in Korea, where local phone makers (Samsung, LG, Pantech) and Apple are highly successful.
The HTC Sensation will be released in the US, too, where T-Mobile should start selling it next month for $199 on contract.
