The Motorola Droid X2 for Version just keeps on leaking, and Verizon just keeps postponing an official acknowledgement of this smartphone. It all started with some blurry pics in February. Then we saw some non-blurry images a month later, and finally got some of the device's specs from a benchmark yesterday.
What that confirmed was that the Droid X2 will sport an Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core 1 GHz processor, and a qHD (960 x 540) display resolution and those certainly seem to be the only things that the X2 brings new in comparison with its predecessor, the original Droid X (unless Moto decides to tinker with the RAM as well).
Clearly, even if there are more differences between these two devices, they are on the inside, since the exterior of the Droid X2 looks strikingly similar to that of the Droid X, as you can undoubtedly see from the images above. In fact, it's pretty hard to tell a Droid X and a Droid X2 apart, it would seem.
Anyway, sadly the Droid X2 is still running Android 2.2 like it was in earlier photos, which may of course mean that the version of Android it will ship with. Let's hope Moto does some last-minute upgrading and releases the Droid X2 with a software version launched this year.
