Motorola Xoom and Atrix Sales Are Disappointing

Although they are two of the hottest Android devices on the market, the Motorola Xoom and Motorola Atrix do not seem to be as popular as expected. According to Forbes and Pacific Crest analyst James Faucette, "sell-through trends" for the two dual-core devices "have been disappointing".

Moto Atrix 4G sales, for example, are said to be "well below forecast". The Atrix is offered only by AT7T in the US, for $199 on contract, and faces fierce competition from smartphones like the HTC Inspire 4G ($99 on contract), or Apple's iPhone 3GS ($49 on contract).
The Xoom is currently sold by Verizon and Cellular South and a Wi-Fi only version of it can be bought, too.
Reportedly, Sprint may also launch the Atrix and the Xoom soon - this, of course, should help sales a bit (or maybe a bit more).
Motorola has not announced how many units of the Xoom and Atrix have been shipped unti now.
