A while ago, we mentioned very briefly about the NFC (Near Field Communication) technology that has been gathering a lot of momentum in the recnt times. The Near Field Communication technology erases the need for wire, which are usually required when making mobile payments.
The NFC technology has now been adopted by Microsoft to enable mobile payments on the latest versions of its Windows Phont 7. No extra points for guessing Microsoft's motive. Its competitive streak (Google with its Nexus S) can be clearly seen with this move.
With NFC in place, comsumers can with ease conduct all their mobile payments, shopping, et al with a flick. The handsets with the updated software will be out of this year. Apple was recently in news for having announced the non-inclusion of NFC technology in the latest version of its iPhone.
